Seamless, High-Contrast Visuals Deepen Engagement

Evolved Dynamic Contrast Deepens Immersion

With a higher 25,000:11 contrast ratio, Evolved Dynamic Contrast boasts new scene analysis circuitry that accurately detects light and dark areas, making the difference between black, white, and contrasting colors stand out dramatically.

1 Full On/Full Off with Dynamic Contrast set to [3]. Measurement, measuring conditions, and method of notation all comply with ISO/IEC 21118: 2020 international standards.

Rich Color Enhancer Brings the Creator’s Work to Life

Rich Color Enhancer is an original 2-mode color optimization technology. Dynamic Mode balances brightness and color for clear visibility in bright environments. Standard Mode optimizes color reproduction by expanding red-channel output for vibrant red expression. This is critical for the accurate and immersive reproduction of artwork and other color-rich content.

REQ15 Series - Rich Color Enhancer

Remove Banding with Gradation Smoother

Gradation Smoother reduces banding in shaded color gradients, which can become evident in images lacking sufficient color bit depth. Use the projector remote to select from three correction levels depending on banding severity or disable it when unneeded. Gradation Smoother is a lifesaver when banding is apparent, and there’s no time to re-edit the content.

Note: Projectors ship with Gradation Smoother set at factory default [2].

Adjust Black Levels on Curved Screens

Panasonic solves the challenge of black-level uniformity in blended areas on curved screens with more flexible adjustment catering to arbitrary screen shapes. Up to 17 control points can be used to reshape black borders for symmetrical fitting without distortion. Black levels can be precisely set within a half-pixel margin for seamless blends, even at close viewing range.

Adjust Black Levels Inside and Outside the Image Display Area

Evolved black-level adjustment also eliminates black-level bumps appearing in blends outside of the image display area after applying geometric adjustment. By unlinking the black level and geometric adjustment, black-level settings can be applied to the entire blend, including the image overlaps outside the image display area, for a seamless multi-screen image.

Note: Black-level area setting must be performed before black-level adjustment. The ability to unlink black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment is supported only on flat screens when adjacent images are aligned vertically or horizontally.

New Compact Body for Maintenance-free Projection

Dust-Resistant Optical Engine and Liquid Cooling System

REZ15 Series’s optical engine and laser light source conform to the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529)1 standard. This eliminates the need for a filter and enables 20,000 hours2 of maintenance-free projection. Reliability is proven by accelerated dust-chamber testing in significantly dustier conditions than those in which some competitive products are tested.

1 The Dust Protected performance of this unit is not guaranteed to be free from damage or failure under all conditions (environment with conductive dust, etc.). Please use an enclosure in environments with smoke containing oil, salt, and moisture.
2 Around this time, the light output will have decreased by approximately 50 %. IEC62087: 2008 Broadcast Contents, NORMAL Mode, Dynamic Contrast [3], temperature 35 °C (95 °F), elevation 700 m (2,297 ft) with 0.15 mg/m3 of airborne particulate matter. Panasonic recommends a checkup at the point of purchase after about 20,000 hours. Light-source lifetime may be reduced depending on the environmental conditions. Replacement of parts other than the light source may be required in a shorter period. Estimated maintenance time varies depending on the environment.

Backup Input Redundancy

Two identical signals can be simultaneously transmitted to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup). If transmission to the primary input is interrupted, the projector switches to the backup automatically in a minimum of 0.3 seconds1 without screen-blanking. This layer of insurance gives greater peace of mind during events where image display can’t be interrupted.

1 Varies depending on the Backup Input mode and the connected external device.
Note: Primary and backup terminal assignments are fixed. The input signals to primary and backup inputs must be identical.

Multi-Laser Drive Engine Enhances Reliability

Multiple laser modules are equipped with Failover Circuitry. In the unlikely event a single diode fails, Failover Circuitry continues to supply electricity to the functional diodes in the series, minimizing brightness loss. If the same issue were to occur in projectors without Failover Circuitry, all diodes in the module might shut down, resulting in a significant loss of brightness.

Reduce Errors with Remote Preview LITE

Remote Preview LITE allows projectionists to confirm connectivity and assess image adjustments before the video is projected by viewing preview thumbnails on a laptop. This is valuable at live events where checking content on the screen is limited due to soundchecks or sunlight. Accessible via software or web browser, it works with the projector in Standby1 or with the shutter on, minimizing errors before performances.

1 Projector must be set to Pre-Show Mode.
Note: Requires Multi-Monitoring & Control Software Version 3.3 or later available free here. For more information, click here.
