Connecting Our Customers to Tomorrow: A New Era for Panasonic Connect Europe
By Shusuke Aoki, CEO of Panasonic Connect Europe
In today’s dynamic business landscape, transformation is no longer a choice. It’s a necessity. European organisations continue to navigate a complex myriad of challenges: supply chain disruption, energy volatility, budget constraints, workforce evolution, regulatory shifts, and the rise of AI.
At Panasonic Connect Europe, we understand that these pressures demand more than just technology. They require a trusted, long-term partner that combines hardware, software, and professional services to deliver real, lasting change.
That’s why we’re so proud of our refreshed positioning and brand: Connect to Tomorrow.
This reinforces our ongoing commitment to helping our customers and partners across Europe future-proof their operations, optimise their processes, and unlock new opportunities through innovation. It reflects our belief that transformation is most powerful when it’s built on deep, lasting relationships, tailored solutions, and a shared vision for what the future looks like.
An Ecosystem of Tailored Solutions and Expertise
Complex business and digitisation problems aren’t always compatible with one-size-fits-all tools. Every organisation is unique, with its own strategic priorities, operational challenges, and ambitions.
We’ve built our business on long-lasting customer relationships, grounded in trust and deep understanding. By listening closely to our partners’ priorities and delivering consistent results, we’ve earned their confidence. And we never take that for granted.
The result? A suite of scalable, future-proof solutions that meet their needs today - and tomorrow
This is made possible thanks to our complete engineering capabilities that allow us to design and deliver customised solutions that integrate seamlessly into our customers’ operations. Whether it’s rugged mobile computing for field teams, AI-powered factory optimisation, or consultative process innovation, we bring together the right mix of technology and expertise to drive meaningful outcomes.
Our approach is built on an integrated ecosystem of hardware, software, embodied AI, and professional services. This positions our customers as thought-leaders in their own industries:
- Hardware
Panasonic’s manufacturing heritage and commitment to quality is evident across its entire hardware portfolio – from its rugged TOUGHBOOK devices to the factory floor.
SMT solutions offer high-speed, precise component placement with advanced traceability and real-time analytics, and our robot welding systems deliver consistent, high-quality welds with intelligent automation and adaptive control.
Together, they enable manufacturers to boost productivity, ensure quality, and accelerate digital transformation across production lines.
- Software & AI
From our PanaCIM manufacturing execution system to embedded AI in TOUGHBOOK devices, our software solutions drive real-time decision-making, predictive maintenance, and supply chain optimisation. These tools meet – and exceed – customer expectations.
- Professional Services
Panasonic owns the entire process – from hardware manufacturing within our own factories to exclusive servicing by Panasonic personnel at dedicated customer service centres. This integrated approach ensures comprehensive oversight throughout the product lifecycle and supports ongoing quality enhancement.
Together, these elements form a strategic roadmap that empowers our customers to incrementally transform their businesses through operational change.
Transformation in Action
Supply Chain
One example of our approach in action is our collaboration with the European food retail industry. Faced with the challenge of reducing fresh food waste, we deployed an AI-powered Fresh Markdown Optimisation (FMO) solution with Panasonic subsidiary, Blue Yonder.
This was fully integrated with Electronic Shelf Labels, rugged mobile devices, and in-store signage. This enabled us to deliver smarter forecasting to predict demand and adjust orders; real-time shelf tracking that could monitor produce freshness and stock; and data-driven insights to reduce the amount of expired products, whilst improving availability.
This demonstrated how advanced technology, combined with deep retail expertise, can deliver sustainable, efficient outcomes that benefit both businesses and society.
Surface Mount Technology
In manufacturing, our relationship with ZF Automotive perfectly encapsulates our position as a long-standing strategic partner. It has relied on Panasonic’s SMT machines for decades – some have been operating continuously for more than 20 years – enabling it to achieve high uptime, and greater throughput without constant expansion. We’re much more than just a provider of reliable hardware for ZF Automotive.
Our partnership is rooted in continuous innovation, ultra-reliable technology, and regional support that it can trust, helping to guide it through a critical period of industry and business transformation.
Robot & Welding
STADLER Anlagenbau turned to Panasonic’s TAWERS Welding Robot System for a future-proof solution – transforming its production by automating manual welding processes. This has vastly reduced cycle times, and increased production line efficiency and scalability.
Our partnership with STADLER is built on flexibility, reliability, and continuous improvement, supported by intuitive software and expert training. Together, we’re enabling STADLER to scale confidently and adapt in a rapidly evolving manufacturing industry.
TOUGHBOOK Rugged Devices
Circet, Europe’s leading telecommunications network infrastructure provider, relies on uninterrupted operations, especially in remote and demanding areas. Their technicians install fibre, maintain telecom lines, and troubleshoot critical equipment where reliability is essential.
In its role as a true mobility partner, Panasonic Connect equipped Circet engineers with the rugged TOUGHBOOK G2 tablet, tailored with custom apps, mounts, accessories, and backed by European-wide support services. The solution included hot-swappable batteries, glove-compatible touchscreens, and field service tools for reporting, navigation, and diagnostics.
By delivering invaluable intelligence directly mobile workers on the frontline, Circet has seen increased uptime, faster task resolution, and improved employee satisfaction.
Delivering Full Lifecycle Support
Panasonic Connect Europe is not just another vendor. We’re a transformation partner with a unique value proposition of:
- Integrated Solutions: We own the full stack, from device manufacturing and embedded software to embodied AI and in-house service expertise.
- End-to-End Support: With service centres across Europe and a local leadership team – backed up by international R&D teams – we deliver seamless support, from concept to live operations and deployment.
- Cross-Sector Expertise: Our industry expertise spans manufacturing, retail, public infrastructure, and more, with Panasonic subsidiaries such as Blue Yonder (supply chain software) and Zetes (logistics traceability and visibility) providing additional, wide-ranging insight into industry-specific challenges.
- Sustainability and Social Value: We’re committed to delivering solutions that are not only economically sound but socially responsible.
Connect to Tomorrow is more than a brand theme. It captures the essence of what makes us unique. As European businesses continue to evolve, we will stand side-by-side with them to drive transformation through innovation, and delivering the solutions, insights, and support they need to lead in their industries.
At Panasonic Connect Europe, we’re not just connecting technology, but people, processes, and possibilities to tomorrow – and beyond.
