PANASONIC ANNOUNCES KAIROS TRAINING ACADEMIES ACROSS EUROPE
Bracknell, UK. 10th June 2021 – Panasonic has announced the KAIROS Training Academy Network to train operators across Europe in how to get the best from its next-generation live production platform. The academies have been created at Panasonic Broadcast & Pro-AV partners across Europe. The initial centres include Creative Technology (UK and Sweden), AED (Belgium), KST Moschkau (Germany) and VMB (Spain).
“KAIROS is a game-changer. The creative opportunities for live video productions and video streaming services for broadcasters and event producers, as well as remote productions and classic broadcast mixing is immense,” said Thierry Heldenbergh, Managing Director of AED Display. “By providing a full demo and training facility, we will be able to bring many users face-to-face with the system, provide them with real 'on-the-job' training and show the full capabilities of the platform.”
The KAIROS IT/IP video processing platform offers an open software architecture system for live video switching. It delivers complete input and output flexibility, resolution and format independence, maximum CPU/GPU processor utilisation and virtually unlimited mix/effect (M/E) scalability through unlimited “layers” that users can freely create and move around thanks to its intuitive and easy-to-use GUI.
“The KAIROS Training Academy Network ensures we have systems available for training across Europe but also multiple market experts to explain how the platform can be used in a host of specialist areas such as live events & entertainment, sports, TV production & broadcast and corporate,” explained Guilhem Krier, Panasonic’s Head of New Business & Market Development for MEBD & DSC Business Units.
The new KAIROS Core 1000 mainframe builds upon the feature-set of the current, compact KAIROS Core 100. It enables the platform to be utilised in a wider and more complex range of productions thanks to increased CPU and GPU capabilities. With the GPU’s higher video processing capacity, the number of layers that can be used increases significantly, allowing full use of the multi-layered video composition and output in high resolution - including 8K video.
