Toen Lighthouse Immersive de taak op zich nam om de werken van de postimpressionistische Nederlandse schilder Vincent van Gogh te belichten in een meeslepende tentoonstelling, werd hun eerste taak het vinden van de perfecte ruimte. Nadat de groep afspraken had gemaakt voor de huisvesting van de tentoonstelling in het Toronto Star Building, een historisch gebouw met stevige banden met de bevolking van Toronto, begon het team met plannen van de volgende fase van het project: het ontwerpen van een opstelling die bestond uit een reeks projectors die in combinatie met elkaar de vloeren en muren van de industriële ruimte zouden transformeren. Bezoekers van de tentoonstelling zouden volledig worden ondergedompeld in het werk van Van Gogh.
