Panasonic projectors power next-gen sports and gaming experiences for LYMB.iO’s MultiBall system
Compact, high-brightness LCD laser projectors deliver exceptional image clarity in any space — from schools and sports clubs to leisure centres and hotels.
Challenge
To find a compact, bright and highly reliable projector solution for an interactive gaming system used in diverse, often brightly lit, venues.
Solution
LYMB.iO selected Panasonic’s lightweight, high-brightness PT-VMZ Series laser projectors to deliver crisp, vibrant projection in any space, with effortless installation and ultra-low maintenance.
"We needed laser projectors that were powerful, bright and easy to use. The Panasonic projectors stood out for us. The clarity of image in well-lit rooms is exceptional. It’s easy to install and can be situated anywhere in the room. The set-up is fast and intuitive using the remote control."

LYMB.iO
LYMB.iO’s MultiBall is an award-winning mixed reality gaming and training platform that transforms any wall into an interactive sports arena. Combining real sports with motion tracking, gamification and real-time feedback, it delivers an engaging, high-energy experience for all ages.
Designed for both entertainment and education, MultiBall features over 50 interactive games and training modules, covering everything from tennis and football to arithmetic and reaction drills. It uses a completely new ball and touch detection system that transforms any wall up to 10 x 10 meters into a touchpad capable of detecting fast-moving objects. Together with tracking body motion and using powerful projectors, this technology creates a completely new combination of digital interaction and physical activity.
Designed for any environment
To bring these experiences to life, LYMB.iO needed a projector that could perform across a wide range of spaces and lighting conditions. Strong visual clarity was non-negotiable — players had to see every movement and detail, even in well-lit rooms. The projector also had to be easy to install, portable for mobile installations when required and robust enough for daily operation in busy public environments.
Panasonic’s PT-VMZ71 Series LCD laser projectors — including the PT-VMZ71EJ, PT-VMZ61EJ, and PT-VMZ51SEJ — proved the perfect fit for Multiball’s three different sized systems, starting from MultiBall Mini priced at €6595 plus projector.
With brightness levels up to 7,000 lumens, these projectors maintain vivid image quality in light-filled gyms, classrooms, hotel lounges and leisure centres. A contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 ensures game graphics stay sharp, colourful and immersive, no matter the ambient lighting.
Powerful Performance, Minimal Maintenance
The smallest and lightest laser projectors in their class, the PT-VMZ Series models are easy to transport, position and install — even in challenging or space-constrained environments. With a 1.6x zoom and wide-range vertical/horizontal lens shift, projectors can be mounted high, off centre or even close to the image wall with Ultra Short Throw lens variants while still producing a perfectly aligned image.
No specialist AV expertise is required: customers simply connect the MultiBall system via HDMI, and the intuitive remote-controlled setup takes care of the rest.
This makes it easy for LYMB.iO customers to get up and running with minimal effort. MultiBall systems are often used for up to 14 hours a day (average 8 hours), particularly in hospitality venues and educational settings. With no light-source or filter replacement required for 20,000 hours, the PT-VMZ Series offers long-term peace of mind, while 20% reduced power consumption supports sustainability goals and lowers running costs.
An Expanding Opportunity
The MultiBall system is now in use globally across a wide range of sectors:
- Leisure and entertainment venues use MultiBall to create interactive zones for families and group play.
- Schools and universities integrate it into physical education and classroom programmes to encourage active learning.
- Hotels and resorts use the system to entertain children in kids’ clubs or enhance corporate hospitality and meetings. When not in game mode, the space and projector can be used for virtual meetings or to show live stream entertainment.
- Tennis, padel and football clubs use it for events, player coaching and membership recruitment.
Another key selling point for the system is customisation: users can add logos, images and branded content into the games, making it a powerful tool for schools, sports clubs, hotels and event venues.
Wherever it’s installed, the experience is immersive, intuitive and fun. And with whisper-quiet operation, Panasonic’s projectors ensure the technology fades into the background — letting the game take centre stage.
"We’re seeing interactive projection experiences like MultiBall gaining strong traction across sport, education and entertainment venues. The combination of compact form factor, bright and crisp images in well-lit spaces, and easy integration makes our PT-VMZ Series projectors a perfect match for this versatile, fast-growing application.
