Panasonic Announces New Free And Advanced Auto Tracking Software For PTZ Cameras
New built-in auto tracking enables PTZ cameras to maintain framing in a variety of situations, making tracking simple and accurate.
Bracknell, UK. 19th October 2023 – Panasonic Connect Europe has announced its new free AI-based built-in auto tracking software for its AW-UE40, AW-UE50 and AW-UE80 PTZ cameras. Ideal for filming a single person, this new firmware upgrade enables cameras to not just capture footage but to actively participate in creating it, by maintaining framing in a variety of situations.
This enables users to deliver incredibly stable filming, with no connection to external equipment required. The smart in-camera pre-set tracking function allows for a fast response to movement of the subject, preventing shots from being missed.
Auto tracking is simple to install and can be controlled through the free Panasonic EasyIP software. The new auto tracking can be used for a variety of use cases, from lecture theatres, classrooms and auditoriums to news studios and for corporate presentations. The free software enables users to capture all required content without the need for multiple operators to control the cameras. Its easy, hands-free operation makes tracking incredibly simple, accurate, and functional.
Panasonic also offers its AW-SF100 and AW-SF200 advanced auto-tracking software[1] for filming multiple people, with facial recognition functionality[2] available as an option, and human body detection. The software includes wide-angle and voice detection capabilities, enabling speakers to be detected if out of frame.
Now available for the AW-UE160 PTZ range, Panasonic’s advanced auto-tracking software features intuitive GUI settings and IP-based software for remote operation. Setup is straightforward, with no software installation required, and is available in two versions; standalone for use on a single PC, and a web application version that enables control from a tablet, smartphone, or desktop PC.
