Panasonic European R&D Team Creates Innovative AI-Based Supply Chain Solutions

Panasonic Connect strengthens its global R&D capabilities with new European team to develop AI-based solutions alongside subsidiary, Blue Yonder.

Munich, DE. 10th October 2024 – Panasonic Connect’s new European R&D division is collaborating with industry-leading customers and partners to create innovative supply chain solutions. Working closely with Panasonic subsidiary, Blue Yonder, the Munich-based division will focus on the development of next-generation, AI-based cyber-physical systems. These are based on four core areas of Panasonic expertise: AI and Computer Vision; Sensing; Simulation; and Robotics.

Working directly with Panasonic Connect’s global R&D department of nearly 300 developers, Carlos Osuna will head the experienced European R&D team. Carlos previously created and led Panasonic Connect’s network integration business in Europe. Jens-Michael Pohl will lead the European engineering team, with Ian Woozley continuing in his role as Head of Business Development for Supply Chain Solutions and Innovation.
