Panasonic launches its reference class installation projector
Panasonic has announced the release of a new 12,000 lumens laser projector that provides long lasting brightness in the same compact, lightweight design as its existing 10,000 lumens class projectors.
Available to purchase from October, the PT-RZ120 SOLID SHINE laser projector is an addition to the company’s filterless 1-Chip DLP laser phosphor range. Sitting within the existing housing of the 6,000 lumens PT-RZ660 series, it offers an industry leading brightness to size ratio.
Capable of maintenance-free operation for up to 20,000 hours, with air-tight and dust-resistant optical units and cooling systems negating the need for air filters, it is well suited to intensive usage in permanent installations within education, museums, exhibitions and digital signage.
Rich image quality is provided by the hybrid wheel system which reproduces outstanding pure colour by blending crisp and vivid imaging with bright, dual-laser module and dual-phosphor-wheel SOLID SHINE Laser drives.
“As market leaders in laser projection, we strive to create accurate colours and extreme brightness within the most compact design possible,” explains Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager at Panasonic. The PT-RZ120 is now a reference class model for the industry. AV professionals are going to be blown away by the superior image quality within the projector, produced by the quartet colour harmonisor - a unique colour wheel system enhanced by dual heat-resistant phosphor wheels that work in harmony to maximise colour accuracy.”
Digitally modulated 10,000:1 dynamic contrast controls light output frame-by-frame, according to image requirements, while a multi-projector sync function enables control of dynamic contrast and shutter functions across a network of projectors, synchronising from a master projector.
The PT-RZ120 supports 4K video signal input via a single-cable using DIGITAL LINK or an HDMI® terminal and are further geared towards pro installations with 3G-SDI joining HDMI®, DVI-D, 5BNC, D-Sub, and RS232C connections.
Designed to integrate into existing control systems, all projectors are compatible with HDBaseT™, Art-Net, Crestron Connect™ , and PJLink™ protocols; and share Panasonic’s family of interchangeable lenses for 1- Chip DLP™ models.
