Panasonic Projectors Bring Global Phenomenon Game Of Thrones To Life At Only Official Studio Tour

During an eight-season run with 73 episodes, Game of Thrones won no less than 272 worldwide awards, becoming a cultural phenomenon, and a blueprint for future on-screen epic recreations of the fantasy genre. To preserve the experience of such an acclaimed production, Panasonic installed 15 Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ 4K projectors throughout the tour. Nearly 50 4K Panasonic professional and interactive displays have also been installed, with a range of 55–98-inch displays used.

Panasonic’s 1-Chip DLP™ 4K projectors were also chosen for their reputation and reliability, with a maintenance-free life of 20,000 hours and more, in fixed installations. This enables museums and attractions, such as The Game of Thrones Studio Tour, to maximise visitor uptime.

The sustainability of Panasonic projectors has been critical to the overall installation. Their standby operation mode and ability to be closely controlled and monitored allow them to be used only when required, saving valuable energy. In addition, Panasonic’s 1-Chip DLP™ 4K laser projectors do not require the regular replacement of incandescent bulbs.
