As part of C4I systems, modern armed forces use the TOUGHBOOK 33 2-in-1 detachable notebook with SFC Energy’s JENNY 600S portable fuel cell. This mission-critical system integrates all essential communication, control, and reconnaissance processes between frontline teams and the command post. Technological failures in this area can have significant repercussions for military operations.
Previously, additional specialised batteries had to be carried to provide the necessary longevity – increasing weight and practicality. The durable, all-weather JENNY 600S removes this problem by efficiently and quietly charging the C4I system and other batteries as required (such as BB2590 and CWB units).
Flexible in-vehicle power supply in the field
Weighing just 1.7kg, deployed teams can use the portable JENNY fuel to power devices, communications equipment, and sensors for many hours and days. The SFC Power Manager 3G enables simultaneous and fully automatic charging of multiple devices without the need for special batteries.
Certified vehicle docking and mounting solutions, vehicle power supplies, and optional military connectors and plugs enable seamless integration of TOUGHBOOK devices into military vehicles. This is where the SFC EMILY fuel cell offers a virtually silent, self-sufficient power supply that reliably keeps TOUGHBOOK devices and on-board electronics operational.
Compared to conventional generators, this is ideal for reconnaissance missions or covert operations. Furthermore, TOUGHBOOK devices can also be switched to ‘Concealed Mode’ with a single click.
