The TOUGHBOOK 40 Tactical features a specialised module from roda computer for seamless integration in tracked and wheeled military vehicles. What's more, its modular design supports up to three flange connectors (sizes 08–14), including 38999 variants from Amphenol or Souriau, as well as ODU, Fischer, and Terra Pin for maximum compatibility.

The TOUGHBOOK 40 Tactical is compatible with a range of new port configurations for a wide range of project-based applications, including DVI, Display Port, USB 2.0, Serial, PCIe, CAN BUS, MIL-STD-1553B BUS and Gigabit LAN.

Its hot-swap feature allows easy, tool-free battery replacement, without the need to shut down the device. Designed and manufactured by Panasonic, our Safety Technology ensures longevity with Auto-Predictive Monitoring and Active Smart Charging to optimise battery performance and longevity.

Maximum visibility and precision

The 14-inch, anti-scratch Full HD touchscreen delivers clear readability in any light or weather, with auto-adjusting brightness from 1,200 cd/m² to 2 cd/m² and anti-glare/reflection protection. The multi-touch display offers precise operation, even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves.

Military-grade security

The TOUGHBOOK 40 Tactical features Microsoft Secured Core PC with secure BIOS and boot-up. Its OPAL SSD, multi-user authentication, and optional smart card and fingerprint readers provide robust security options. Additional protections include conceal mode to dim or turn off visuals and wireless signals, remote wipe, optional Viasat encryption, and customisable component exclusions.
