Celebrating 50 Years of Innovation:
The Productronica Fair 2025
One year to go and already preparing: 2025 marks a momentous occasion for the electronics manufacturing industry as the Productronica Fair in Munich, Germany, celebrates its 50th anniversary. Since its inception, Productronica has grown to become the world's leading trade fair for electronics development and production. Every two years, exhibitors from all over the world showcase the full spectrum of technologies and solutions for electronics production, offering comprehensive insights into the latest trends through practical forums and live demonstrations.
Connect to Innovation
Productronica covers the overall supply chain from electronics development, production equipment to software integration as well as service offerings. Presenting the latest innovations and technological findings within the electronics manufacturing industry, Productronia attracted more than 1,400 exhibitors and over 42,000 trade visitors from 94 countries in 2023. On about 90,000 sqm, users, buyers and decision-makers among many industries such as automotive, industrial electronics, medical electronics and electrical engineering get the chance to connect to innovation.
The trade fair itself is divided into six different areas of interest - from semiconductor manufacturing and battery production to clean room technology and production logistics. Companies and manufacturers of all sizes set a base for discussions, product launches and business deal closings. Besides, several stages and forums offer a brought variety of speeches with industry experts to discuss key topics among the industry, e.g. addressing labor shortages and sustainability, artificial intelligence or automation (Source: Productronica).
Autonomous Manufacturing Concept
Real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, self-recovery and eliminating downtime are critical topics within the industry. Looking back to the last Productronica in 2023, Panasonic has launched the brand-new SMT G Series there, consisting of the screen printer NPM-GPL and the placement machine NPM-GH. In combination with the APC-5M concept, autonomous manufacturing can soon become reality. APC-5M detects 5M (HuMan, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement) variations as well as line changes in real-time to ensure a smooth production process without downtime. Thanks to the 5M concept, the entire line production process and individual machines are monitored through feed-forward and feed-back communication technology.
Looking to the Future
The anniversary trade show will take place from November 18 to 21, 2025 in Munich with many new innovations and technology breakthroughs expected.
Why not mark these dates in your calendar now? I look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the promising future of electronics manufacturing.
