Panasonic introduces worlds most seamless video wall
Panasonic is set to release two high end professional LCD video wall displays with the world's thinnest bezel to bezel, of just 0.88mm, and advanced colour management.
The new models (TH-55VF2H/TH-55VF2) make it possible to configure virtually seamless, multi-screen, displays for dynamic, large-screen images. When used in a 2x2 configuration with daisy chain connection via DisplayPort, a 4K signal from a single 4K input can be displayed dot-to-dot.
In addition, a new professional LCD display (TH-55LFV9) will expand the LFV series and is equipped with an ultra-thin bezel to bezel width of 3.5mm. The use of highly durable components across both ranges enables Panasonic to guarantee continuous, 24-hour operation and meets the needs of mission critical applications.
All three are 55 inch panels with either 700cd/m2 (TH-55VF2H) or 500 cd/m2 (TH-55VF2/TH-55LFV9) brightness, allowing users to choose the optimal model dependent on the installation location. In addition, each display features In Plane Switching to provide a high visibility across any viewing angle, with the surface of each new panel processed to reduce glare and suppress external reflections.
Uniformity is also enhanced across both new series with each multi-screen display being pre-calibrated to keep colour differences to a minimum.
A further feature is a two-system input switch that can be used to back up the signal with fail-over and fail-back functionality, should this be required. [1] This ensures a high level of reliability across the displays. The installation process is made easier with the use of an original application which simplifies system configuration.
“We are incredibly excited to announce the expansion of our video wall display range, giving our customers the option of the most seamless panels on the market. This, in addition to the onboard colour management technology is bound to captivate audiences,” said Hartmut Kulessa, Marketing Manager at Panasonic. “We’ve combined this with 24/7 operation, ensuring that the improved visibility does not come at the cost of reliability.”
The LFV9 series is available for purchase in October 2019, and the VF2 series is available in early 2020.
