PANASONIC’S NEW FLAGSHIP VIDEO WALL DISPLAYS DELIVER NEAR SEAMLESS MULTISCREEN IMAGES
The VF2 Series with razor thin 0.44mm bezel is ideal for retail, public spaces and control rooms
Bracknell, UK, 11th May 2020 – Panasonic today announced its flagship VF2 Series LCD video wall displays will go on sale in Europe in May. The VF2H and VF2 displays deliver near-seamless multiscreen images thanks to their market-leading narrow frames and are ideal for use in retail, public spaces, control and board rooms.
When looking to create impactful and large digital signage indoor installations, the VF2 Series offers a number of advantages over LED video walls. Images are sharper at a closer distance, which is important for control and meeting rooms, and benefit from better viewing from side-angles. From a practical perspective, they also offer a wider connectivity choice and shallower depth when installed into walls. Failover and failback safeguards are built in, making it a reliable solution designed for 24-hour continuous operation.
Truly spectacular large-format images
The narrow frames on Panasonic’s VF2H/VF2 Series reduce bezel-to-bezel distance to a near-invisible 0.88 mm[1] (0.035"). Even when viewed close-up, screen borders are almost indiscernible, resulting in stunning seamless large-format images.
Delivering the highest levels of picture quality, the two 55” frameless D-LED LCD models have luminance ratings of 700 cd/m2 (VH2H model) and 500 cd/m2 (VF2 model). To ensure clear viewing from any angle, both have an anti-glare surface on the IPS panel that diffuses light from the sun and lighting equipment and suppresses external reflections, making them ideal for monitoring rooms and public areas.
Optimised for vivid image quality and reliability
Each multi-screen display is pre-calibrated to keep colour differences to a minimum, ensuring 24/7 consistently vivid image quality and easy set-up. Using Auto Brightness Adjustment both series of display automatically correct backlight brightness to deliver high contrast performance, at optimised power levels, for longer.
Simple configuration
The displays use DIGITAL LINK for simple installation and configuration. Based on HDBaseT technology, DIGITAL LINK supports audio, video, and control signal transmission over long distances, and can also be used to daisy-chain displays via a single cable – eliminating the need for video splitters and other routing devices.
Failover and failback safeguards are built in. If the main video and audio signals are interrupted, the system immediately switches to alternative signals. If the main signals are restored, the original image is displayed. This makes the series well suited for use in control rooms and in other applications where uninterrupted playback is essential.
“Delivering large format images that have to be seen to be believed, the VF2 Series combines leading design with reliability and simple installation and configuration,” said Florence Antony, European Marketing Manager for Flat Panel Displays at Panasonic Visual System Solutions.
The VF2 series will be available for sale across Europe in May. For more information about the displays visit: https://eu.connect.panasonic.com/gb/en/products/professional-displays/th-55vf2
[1] * Bezel-to-bezel distance refers to the combined top and bottom (or left and right) bezel-width of adjacent displays in video-wall configuration. The gap between displays is not included. Note that a gap of 0.5 mm (0.02") or more is required when installing multiple displays.
