New 360° video conferencing solution takes the stress out of hybrid meetings
The Panasonic PressIT360 video conferencing solution gives workers the freedom to easily meet and collaborate wherever they are.
Bracknell, UK. 10th May 2022 – To support new ways of collaborative working from the office and home, Panasonic has announced a revolutionary new 360° video conferencing solution designed to take the stress out of hybrid meetings. The intuitive to use Panasonic PressIT360 connects to a PC with just one USB Type-C cable and provides stunning high-resolution visuals and clear sound. The solution is an addition to the Panasonic PressIT family, with the Panasonic PressIT Wireless Presentation System already popular for collaboration in meetings.
Everyone has experienced how difficult and tiring it can be to participate in physical meetings when joining remotely. Remote participants struggle to get the same attention from the group. The PressIT360 meeting camera overcomes these issues and removes barriers between online and physical meetings, without compromising on sound or picture quality, by drawing on Panasonic’s unique ProAV experience in camera, microphone and speaker technologies.
PressIT360 contains all the essential elements for easy hybrid video conferencing, including four integrated cameras with a resolution of 2560×1440 to provide a 360° horizontal view of the room, alongside seven microphones and sound, with Panasonic’s unique recognition technology to ensure the speaker is always in clear view. The PressIT360 highlights the picture of those speaking to the entire meeting group by placing a framed close-up of the person into the video meeting. This means even remote participants can clearly see the expressions and gestures of those speaking – providing a much more natural and effective meeting experience.
Placed on a desk or in a meeting room, it can detect speakers up to 5M away and is equipped with an echo, noise cancelling and volume equalization function to automatically adjust for sound quality whether speakers are at a remote location or in the room.
For easy set-up and use, video, audio and power are shared to the PC via a single USB Type-C cable. Volume and up to 5 video modes can be controlled using buttons on the unit pedestal. Using the device is intuitive with operating status easily visible from the coloured LED ring on the unit.
The slim design (width excluding pedestal 63.4mm/2.5” and height 285mm/11.3”) makes it easy to carry around the office in one hand. Alternatively, it can be simply attached to a tripod or permanently installed on a desk and securely fastened with Kensington lock slots.
“With colleagues increasingly working from remote locations, it is more important than ever to easily be able to bring people together in a realistic meeting environment. This Panasonic hybrid meeting solution provides the freedom to create and collaborate effectively – wherever you are located,” explained Vanessa Lovric, European Product Manager for Panasonic Visual Solutions.
The PressIT360 will be available from July 2022.
