EQ2: 4K displays for corporates and classrooms
High visibility, durability and a host of useful connectivity features in six screen sizes
Bracknell, UK. 23rd February 2022: Panasonic has announced its new EQ2 Series of professional 4K LCD displays to meet the widening range of needs in corporate buildings and classrooms. The Series offers high visibility, durability and a host of useful connectivity features in six screen sizes (86/75/65/55/50/43-inch).
With 500 cd/m² brightness and high haze value panels to suppress the reflected glare of bright light, the EQ2 Series is ideal for conference rooms, classrooms and open spaces such as receptions and shopping malls. The ability to position the display in portrait or landscape mode, with up to a 20-degree tilt angle and 18 hours continuous operation also makes the Series perfect for information display.
The EQ2 Series supports the Intel® SDM (Smart Display Module) specification slot, which can be used with the receiver board version of Panasonic’s wireless presentation system PressIT, or optional terminal boards such as 12G-SDI and DIGITAL LINK. There is also built-in whiteboard functionality to annotate on screen and zoom in and out using a mouse.
USB devices can be connected to the display via a USB Type-A cable and controlled using a PC connected to the EQ2 via the USB Type-C port. This functionality, for example, is ideal for a simple and quick start to video conferences. If a camera or speakerphone is permanently connected to the display, a user can just plug in their PC and immediately control all devices to start the meeting.
For ultimate flexibility, the displays are equipped with HDMI (x 3), PC and USB Type-C video input terminals. LAN or serial control is possible, and simultaneous control and batch management can be performed via the network. The displays support LAN control with AMX or Crestron Connected™. The Series also supports Screen Transfer, which enables a PC to stream content to up to 64 displays connected with a wired LAN.
The displays will be available sequentially from June. For more information, visit: EQ2 SERIES | Panasonic Connect

3D in focus for the entertainment industry
The incredible success of Avatar: The Way of Water is just one of the factors that has put 3D back into focus for the entertainment industry. Incredibly, the movie has already scaled the heights to become the third-highest ever grossing movie – knocking Cameron’s own Titanic one rung down the ladder. The ability to see the world of Pandora in 3D has been cited as one of the driving factors behind its huge success.

3D - Can you see what I see?
Mention 3D and many of us will immediately think of the pioneering 3D movies that we first saw in the cinema. For the older amongst us, it might be frighteners like the shark Jaws jumping out of the cinema screen to shock the audience, or for the younger reader their first view of an incredible 3D world in the movie Avatar.
