Panasonic Showcases Latest Temperature-Sensitive Transportation Solutions At CPHI Barcelona
Panasonic’s new range of large VIXELL temperature-sensitive cooled boxes and pallets, featuring Vacuum Insulated Case technology, will be featured.
Essen, Germany. 17th October 2023 – Panasonic Connect Europe will unveil its latest temperature-sensitive transportation solutions at CPHI Barcelona, the flagship trade show for the international pharmaceutical industry, from 24th-26th October.
Panasonic’s new range of large VIXELL temperature-sensitive cooled boxes will be available to European audiences for the first time. VIXELL utilises its patented Vacuum Insulated Case (VIC) technology, with each box made from a single continuous moulding instead of insulated panels, preventing any changes in internal temperature that could potentially damage pharmaceuticals and vaccines in transport. VIC technology is used across Panasonic’s entire passive cooling line up.
For larger pharmaceutical payloads that need to be transported directly from the manufacturer, Panasonic Connect will also launch its VIXELL Pallet at CPHI. Providing long-term cold storage between 2°C and 8°C for a period of up to 10 days[1], the VIXELL Pallet has a payload volume of 452 litres, and only weighs 165kg[2] unloaded. Its use of VIC technology doesn’t require a refrigerated vehicle for transport, reducing freight costs.
The VIXELL Pallet is available for testing now, and will be available for consignments from 2024.
Panasonic will also announce new wraparound services for its VIXELL range at CPHI Barcelona, including additional delivery and pick-up routes, and cleaning services for international shipments. It is the latest in a long line of innovative, state-of-the-art supply chain solutions from Panasonic, that helps organisations to reimagine their supply chain ecosystems in a sustainable, responsible manner.
For visitors attending the show, Panasonic will be exhibiting its VIXELL range on stand 80E45, with a media briefing overviewing its new solutions at 10:30 CET on 24th October 2023.
