Panasonic Announces Availability Of Its Most Colour Rich 1-Chip DLP Projector Range: The PT-RCQ10 SeriesNew Rich Colour Harmoniser and Smooth Pixel Drive deliver images rich in natural colours
Panasonic today announced November availability of the new PT-RCQ10 projector range, a 1-chip DLP and 4K Ready projector which sets a new benchmark for image quality in its sector. Designed for the rental and staging industry, museums and theme parks, the PT-RCQ10 series, with a choice of 10,000 or 8,000 lumens, delivers images in natural colours as a result of its Rich Colour Harmoniser and Smooth Pixel Drive technology.
With image performance, the PT-RCQ10 series also offers flexible installation and seamless integration alongside Panasonic’s renowned durable performance without the need for maintenance.
Enhanced images
The PT-RCQ10 series delivers its vibrant colour images as a result of Panasonic’s unique Rich Colour Harmoniser technology, which expands the use of red light to improve colour reproduction. The images are further enhanced by the use of Panasonic’s Smooth Pixel Drive, a newly developed imaging processing system which sharpens the characters and smooths out diagonal lines and curves to achieve an output resolution 4,608,000 pixels (2715 x 1697).
Flexible and seamless integration
The PT-RCQ10 series is compatible with all Panasonic’s existing wide range of 1-Chip DLP lenses offering 0.2-8.6 throw ratios, including Panasonic’s new Ultra Short Throw Zoom lens (ET-DLE020). This latest lens enables projection in extremely tight spaces and minimises on-screen shadows. Its powered lens-shift and zoom enables wide-range calibration following projector installation.
The projectors are fully prepared for the future with the ability to accept 4K signals via HDMI and Digital Link and equipped with Panasonic’s Slot NX to expand connectivity with new input connections.
Performance without maintenance
Durable performance is essential in the live event and entertainment markets and Panasonic’s PT-RCQ10 series has been designed to stand up to the toughest of environments. Tested against dust for operation of 20,000 hours without maintenance, the dual-drive laser optical engine maintains high brightness with its built-in minimal fail-safe laser module design for mission critical applications.
“The PT-RCQ10 series takes image quality in a 1-chip DLP projector to a new level, enabling entertainment and live event venues, as well as learning environments such as museums, to create more immersive experiences than ever before possible with this type of technology,” said Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager at Panasonic Business.
The PT-RCQ10 and PT-RCQ80 projectors are available from November 2019. For further information visit: https://eu.connect.panasonic.com/gb/en/projectors

Case Study
Panasonic LCD projectors helped revive the ancient Persian epic "The Conference of the Birds."
From the beginning of preparing the performance, a large image was considered essential. It was crucial to synchronize the performances of the twelve representatives of different bird species with striking visual effects, where the scene transitions into 3D projections.
