Bracknell, UK. 1st June 2021 – Panasonic today announced its new Series of 1-Chip DLP laser projectors delivering 4K display resolution for an amazing close-up and immersive audience experience ideal for museums, art galleries and exhibitions. The Panasonic PT-RDQ10 Series is designed for entertainment, rental and corporate organisations that want to captivate viewers with detailed 4K images and vibrant yet natural colour reproduction. It comes in three different models, ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 lumens. The optional ET-DLE020 Ultra-Short-Throw Zoom Lens with zero offset adds versatility by enabling large-scale images to be projected, free from shadows, even in the tightest spaces.
The Series achieves 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution using Smooth Pixel Drive, a unique one-axis pixel-shifting technology to produce crisp, smooth, and richly detailed images. The updated Rich Colour Enhancer boosts colour reproduction for more vibrant colours, faithfully recreating even the most detailed visuals, such as artwork. Improved black border adjustments for curved surfaces further enhances brightness uniformity for the seamless edge-blending of dark scenes.
A variety of functions help simplify and reduce the time and effort required for installation. In addition to HDMI® and HDBaseT™-based DIGITAL LINK terminals, the projectors can be equipped with optional SLOT NX interface boards, such as 12G-SDI or DisplayPort™, to suit existing infrastructures. Preactivated Geometry Manager Pro upgrade kits enable sophisticated masking functions and automatic multi-screen calibration, streamlining even the most complex edge-blending and projection-mapping set-up processes. Remote Preview Lite allows content to be checked remotely via PC, while Smart Projector Control app with NFC function supports setting adjustments without projecting the OSD menu.
Despite its expanded features and 4K resolution, the PT-RDQ10 Series retains the same compact body dimensions as other Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ models in an all-new cabinet design. The hermetically sealed optical block contributes to 20,000-hour maintenance-free operation while laser redundancy enhances reliability when continuous operation is required.
The Panasonic PT-RDQ10 Series is set for release in October 2021. For more information, visit: https://eu.connect.panasonic.com/gb/en/products/pt-rdq10-series
