PANASONIC SHOWCASES G2 EMS TABLET AT EMERGENCY TECHNOLOGY SHOW 2025
Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 EMS Tablet combines rugged durability, lightweight portability, and robust connectivity for frontline emergency services teams delivering critical care.
Bracknell, UK. 9th September 2025 – At this year’s Emergency Technology Show from 17-18th September, Panasonic will demonstrate how its rugged, portable TOUGHBOOK G2 EMS Tablet supports frontline emergency medical services (EMS) teams with everything they need to boost productivity and care delivery, and streamline operations to cut response times.
As the UK’s premier exhibition for blue light technology, the Emergency Technology Show brings together over 150 top-tier exhibitors, showcasing more than 10,000 cutting-edge solutions. Now in its third year, and co-located with the renowned Emergency Services Show, the event will attract more than 8,000 decision-makers to Birmingham’s NEC.
Purpose-Built, Mission-Critical Technology
The Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 EMS Tablet has been purpose-built to support the unique demands of emergency medical services. It combines rugged design, advanced connectivity, and healthcare-ready features to help first responders work more efficiently and safely in the field.
Its integration with Ortvius’ MobiMed software provides real-time access to secure patient data at the scene of an incident, supported by built-in 5G standalone, Wi-Fi 6 (with eSIM compatibility) connectivity. It also fits into existing vehicle-specific docking solutions used by the G2, for seamless on-the-move use.
Its long battery life is designed to support EMS teams working long shifts, whilst rigorous infection prevention practices are enforced with sealed ports, glove-optimised touchscreens, and durability against up to 10,000 disinfectant wipes. This ensures safe, hygienic use, in both frontline and clinical environments.
Running on Windows 11 Pro with Secured-core PC and powered by an Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ processor, the G2 EMS Tablet offers robust performance, strong security, and seamless integration within healthcare IT infrastructures, making it a dependable choice for frontline responders.
Windows 11 Migration Front-of-Mind
As Windows 10 support ends shortly after the Emergency Technology Show, transitioning to Windows 11 is expected to be a key topic of discussion in Birmingham. Recent Panasonic research reveals that 67% of emergency services devices will need to be replaced or upgraded. Security is also a major concern, with 94% of respondents worried about increased vulnerability to cyber threats if migration is delayed.
With Windows 11 offering enhanced endpoint protection, AI integration, and better device performance, Panasonic is continuing to support its emergency services customers with the transition – without compromising productivity, operational readiness, or security.
Subscription-Based Models Gaining Traction
Since last year’s Emergency Services Show, Panasonic has seen a marked increase in the popularity of subscription-based procurement models in emergency services. Offering flexible, scalable access to mission-critical technology for a predictable monthly fee, this minimises large upfront CAPEX investments and long procurement cycles. It also allows IT teams to focus on supporting frontline crews rather than maintaining aging equipment.
This is where Panasonic’s Mobile-IT As-a-Service (MaaS) solution bundles rugged hardware, software, installation, and security into one package. It delivers reliable, ready-to-deploy technology tailored to specific requirements, helping to improve response times and operational efficiency – and save lives.
"Emergency services are under immense pressure to respond faster, operate smarter, and stay secure. Panasonic’s G2 EMS Tablet perfectly embodies our knowledge and experience of what emergency services teams need in the field, enabling them to stay connected, protected, and focused on delivering the best care possible."
