Panasonic Demos Next Step In Making Autonomous Factories a Reality At Productronica 2023
Real-time capabilities of Panasonic’s APC-5M assembly line system will be showcased.
Munich, DE. 30th October 2023 – Panasonic Factory Solutions Europe will be showcasing its latest technology to enable Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) manufacturers to take the next step towards autonomous factories at Productronica 2023.
Many production sites still rely on their employee’s knowledge and manpower – the so-called 5M (Human, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement) method but visitors to the show will be able to see how Panasonic’s APC-5M System for 5M process control automates these important elements of manufacturing.
APC-5M detects 5M variations as well as line changes in real-time and ensures a smooth production process without downtime. Using the solution, the entire line production process and individual machines are monitored through feed-forward and feed-back communication technology. Supported by AI, the control system improves and specifies detections and feedback after each production process. With every piece of data analysed, Panasonic’s APC-5M becomes increasingly accurate in diagnosing and solving problems, becoming an invaluable tool in improving efficiency, production uptime, and increasing autonomy in customers’ factories.
Alongside its APC-5M system, Panasonic will also be demonstrating its NPM G Series, an integrated range of SMT production systems designed to respond in real time to customer supply and demand changes through continuous, autonomous updates. This includes its auto-setting feeder (ASF), NPM-GP/L stencil printer, and NPM-GH pick and place machine, allowing customers to set up individual, flexible, efficient, and economical production lines.
Panasonic’s SMT and THT solutions on show at Productronica will help its customers to take a significant step towards 24-hour manufacturing, by enabling them to respond to fluctuating customer supply and demand changes quickly and efficiently, and maintain uptime with predictive maintenance scheduling.
