Harnessing Technology to Optimise Processes and Reduce Food Waste

New Panasonic Connect Europe and Blue Yonder research has revealed that more needs to be done to strengthen manufacturers’ and retailers’ efforts to reduce food waste. Nearly 8 in 10 retailers surveyed report success in reducing food waste – with 70% tracking their progress through KPIs – but only 3 in 10 have seen a considerable reduction. And there is more to learn about how retailers are battling food waste.

The research was conducted by independent research organisation, Vanson Bourne, among 100 senior decision makers involved in the food supply chain, and logistics and technology, working for manufacturers or retailers of fresh goods across Germany and the UK.
