ZOO of Life: een indrukwekkende musical over liefde tussen mens en dier
De ZOO van Antwerpen is volgens velen de mooiste negentiende eeuwse dierentuin ter wereld. Deze prachtige ZOO ligt in het hart van de stad en bestaat dit jaar 175 jaar. Om dit heuglijke feit gepast te vieren is de musical ZOO of Life geschreven. Ruim zevenhonderd vrijwilligers en veertien professionele acteurs speelden in de Koningin Elisabethzaal in Antwerpen de sterren van de hemel. Het publiek werd buiten al opgewarmd door de aanwezigheid van in vol ornaat uitgedoste acteurs en bij binnenkomst verwelkomd door bijna theatraal gezang van een groot aantal in het wit geklede zangers en zangeressen. Het bijzondere aan deze musical was dat de acteurs op het podium met elkaar maar vooral met de dieren uit de ZOO in interactie gingen. Om dit te bewerkstelligen werden de dieren op grote schermen tot leven gewekt! Een belangrijke rol was weggelegd voor de Panasonic-laserprojector uit de serie PT-RZ31K met een helderheid van 30.000-lumen.
