PANASONIC SAYS THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR GEMBA PROCESS INNOVATION IN EUROPE
La división interempresarial de Panasonic desea implantar Gemba Process Innovation en Europa combinando sus conocimientos del sector, el hardware, la ingeniería de software y las habilidades de integración para ofrecer a las empresas unas soluciones personalizadas e integradas que les permitan transformar sus organizaciones. La gemba es una expresión japonesa que significa «el lugar físico donde se crea el valor». En la cadena de suministro, la gemba es donde se fabrican, se trasladan o se venden las cosas.
En Europa, la aplicación más evidente de Gemba Process Innovation es en los sectores de la fabricación, la logística y el comercio minorista, pero también puede aplicarse a muchos otros sectores. En la fabricación, Gemba Process Innovation puede acelerar la automatización gracias al uso de tecnologías como por ejemplo la robótica. En la logística, puede permitir clasificar, programar, realizar un seguimiento y supervisar el estado de los bienes utilizando tecnologías de aprendizaje profundo y sensores de IoT. En el comercio minorista, puede utilizarse para adoptar la inteligencia artificial y la tecnología de las cámaras para fomentar el marketing digital personalizado, así como la reordenación automatizada de las existencias para optimizar la disponibilidad de los productos.
«Hasta ahora, las presiones externas que conforman los negocios en toda Europa nunca habían sido tan grandes», comentó Hiroyuki Nishiuma, nuevo director general de Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU). «Algunos ejemplos son el cambio en los hábitos de compra de los consumidores, el aumento de la conciencia medioambiental y ética o el envejecimiento de la población, que reduce la disponibilidad de mano de obra. A medida que las empresas empiecen a abordar estos temas con la nueva ola de innovación tecnológica, el objetivo de Panasonic será ayudarlas convirtiéndose en un proveedor de servicios integral dedicado a ofrecer las soluciones del sector que transforman la gemba, es decir, el lugar donde se crea el valor».
