Bracknell, UK. 1st March 2022: Leading the industry with compact projectors for seamless integration into fixed installations and easy set-up and handling in rental & staging operations, Panasonic today introduced its new PT-RQ25K Projector Series. This four-model line-up includes the world’s smallest and lightest 20,000lm, 4K, 3-Chip DLP projector.[1]

With immersive image quality and exclusive features that simplify everything from transport and storage to installation and set-up, the PT-RQ25K Series delivers up to 20,000lm, at up to 4K (3840 x 2400), from an easy-to-deploy 35kg (77.16lbs.) chassis.

The PT-RQ25K Series is 40% smaller and 35% lighter than its predecessor. This easy-to-handle design streamlines installation workflow and maximises use of space in themed and location-based entertainment attractions, while giving projection designers flexibility to innovate. It’s the first Panasonic projector to be Intel® Smart Display Module (Intel® SDM)-ready, integrating the customer’s preferred interfaces via compatible third-party modules and optional proprietary terminal boards, such as 12G-SDI, DIGITAL LINK.

Further time-saving set-up features come from the NFC function, which enables IP set-up without AC power; Remote Preview Lite to check input signals on a remote PC; preactivated upgrade kits for Geometry Manager Pro to automate edge-blending via camera and to enable sophisticated masking functions; and Information Monitor to display status on Standby.

Quad Pixel Drive, Panasonic’s original 2-axis pixel-quadrupling technology, creates smooth, exquisitely detailed 4K images. The new Additional Dynamic Contrast delivers higher white brightness and deep blacks during high-contrast scenes. Gradation Smoother reduces colour-banding, while improved point-based black-level adjustment supports edge-blending over curved screens with pixel-level precision.

Designed for reliability over a 20,000-hour maintenance-free period, Failover Circuitry prevents brightness loss from diode failure, while Backup Input prevents screen-blanking for greater peace of mind in mission-critical situations.
