Microsoft launched Windows 11 to the Market on 5 October 2021.

Windows 10 will be supported by Microsoft until 14 October 2025.

All TOUGHBOOK models that meets the minimum hardware requirements can be upgraded to Windows 11 free of charge. 

Microsoft will send you a notification once your eligible TOUGHBOOK device has been tested and validated for the free upgrade. Or you can head to Windows Update and see for yourself. Please note that a significant download is required to complete this upgrade.

The free upgrade offer does not have a specific end date for eligible systems. While Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer.

Windows 11 provides a familiar modern and refreshed interface that helps increase productivity and enhances the collaboration experience for end users while maintaining consistent management for IT managed devices.

  • By default, all your files and data will transfer. However, Microsoft recommends backing up your files before installation.

Most software and accessories that worked with Windows 10 are expected to work with Windows 11. Check with your software publisher or accessory manufacturer for specific details on your products.
