Since 1957, Panasonic develops welding technology products and is nowadays worldwide present in the field of MIG/MAG/TIG and robot welding. The Panasonic Robot & Welding Europe is the European Distributor for products and services all about welding. The headquarter is located in Neuss near Dusseldorf and offers a big training room, a welding test area and forms herewith the center of excellence for robot and welding systems. With a huge distributor Network Panasonic is almost represented in every European country. It is our aim to support the entire industry with ‘All From One Manufacturer’ solutions in the field of welding.
Panasonic Robot & Welding offers turnkey, automated welding systems for arc and laser welding – with welding robots, welding power sources, welding torches etc., void of interface problems for various welding tasks in industrial production. TAWERS Arc Welding, Industrial Robots & Laser Welding
The idea behind TAWERS is based on the “fusion technology” contained in TAWERS, whereby the robot controller is fused with the welding power source controller.
All control parameters such as data processing and programming sequences for the welding power source, the wire feed and the robot are combined on a 64-bit CPU PCB. This technology enables up to 250 times faster communication, eliminating virtually any delay in information flow between the individual components. The result is unique and allows many special functions to increase the quality and productivity of TAWERS.

Panasonic provides complete system solutions according to the concept ‘All from one manufacturer’ with the new development of laser welding: LAPRISS!LAPRISS (Laser Processing Robot Integrated System Solution) uses the Panasonic servo control technology for controlling the laser trepanning head to generate several welding pattern and beam functions. This technological advantage makes the laser head extremely compact and light weight with a payload weight of only 4kg.An advantage of this low weight is to allow the laser head to be mounted to the high speed compact Panasonic TM series of robots.The result is a complete system with unique compactness and a seamless interface between the process and automation components.Because of its unique solution, LAPRISS has the potential to replace existing large foot print welding systems with a solution providing high speed that is immensely flexible and dramatically reduces floor space requirements.

Panasonic has more than 150 welding tables for various materials. The welding tables are constantly expanded and tailored to customer requirements. Additionally, with the TAWERS technology, Panasonic has the ability to intervene directly in the welding process through direct communication between the robot, controller, wire feeder, welding power source, and servo-controlled torch. This allows for a particularly stable, spatter-free arc.
